Finally, my 29th settles in.
One thing Ive learned..patience and understanding.
But have you ever considered the loss of your livelyhood?
Sort of the feeling that comes AFTER a terrible loss? Like waking up of unfamiliar senses and smells.
or a sense of smell ( depending how you feel on the issue)
To put yourself in someone elses ShOES...I can't say i've grown up a bit more this year...but that depends on the situation, It's all in the air now.
I couldnt believe the things I saw...On television tonight..I saw Europe in a different light, although I haven't been there in 3 years, I can see these hills, and these small towns..with cobblstone roads.
I can truly smell the hay, the grass and all the other scents It has to offer.
Although now, television takes it away.
Information super highways...
and how quickly we adapted....is also in the air tonight.
I hear Ted Koppel answering his own pre-written questions, following the teleprompter trying not to move his head up with the words..So Go On Ted, UP WITH THOSE WORDS!
The thought of movie buffs trying to figure out the next best thing..the autobiography of what lucky fellow?
The demise of all social issues replaced by "Social Studies"?
The birth of revelations?
I don't have all the answers and I can't put my finger on it but....Theres something in the air tonight.Thats for sure.
Well as with all things in life..so goes it in the circle.
people get greedy...Companys merge. You spend more time paying for things you can't afford (instead of paying attention) and eating where you should have fasted.
You spend more time at the drive thru then the time it takes for you to actually chew and swallow a dinner.
and in turn get greedy as the company merges again
and as the rest of the world looks on..and laughs at you behind your back..thinking about how lucky they are to NOT be you.
And when you wake up physically, you will begin to have this patience and understanding I spoke of...
Because somewhere in my past I heard someone say: The older you get, the wiser you get
Unfortunately, it is no longer the case.
We as people have seemed to get Dumber
stupider, not because of spell check or grammar errors, but because the knowledge you were supposed to have retained after high school, has actually "left the building"
Somebody open the gym doors, I can hardly stand the smell!
but this all comes together in quite the finest of packaging...
Revelations will lead to revolution
in some form or another...
but this will be the year of pestilence...
and possibly interpreted wrong, for others to (mis)judge.
but i have developed patience...and understanding..that
Ted has told me, Ted has warned me and I know it would be virtually impossible to reach us..."we're just glad it was them..instead of US" And suddenly, that smell comes back to you as nostalgia, You know this smell very well....
It is the smell...Of your loss....of your, livelyhood.
