ALL tracks from JaRule in 2000-2001 | Wednesday, December 19, 2001 | 02:14 p.m. |
:(..................A couple of people have started contests like E_B_A@violentnation.com started one for answering 3 questions, his friend had one where you had to guess who played Mork and where was he from. If i started one it would be to count the number of times JaRule has said/used the word "Baby" in his verses. but to do that you would be forced to listen to all the tracks he's released and i wouldnt want to put anyone thru that... I can tell you this much....Jarule has used that word at LEAST 100 times ( x 5 singles) sucks so bad. he used the word "baby" more times than Eve used the word "tight" and more times than NO DOUBT in their song Hey Baby :O.............................thats just sad.

JEDI MINDS | Wednesday, December 19, 2001 | 02:07 p.m. |
:).............Hip hop has taken a new direction and forgotten talented producers and wonderful filtered samples....everyone has left the block but JEDI MIND TRICKS...I know very little about these fellas, only what my good friend Shawn has given me on mp3. the first track I heard threw me off because one of the lyrics had the words"Animal thug" in them, I'm not a big fan of fat Noreaga, now the skinny Nore with CNN was the shit! anyways, thats one of Noreagas sayins and it screwed up the entire track..but i kept listening and found out it was an Animal thug guest appearance. thank God! the rest of the tracks I've heard are tight, reminds me of 4th Diciple productions from Killarmy. My favorite producer and still unstoppable. anyways, tight production similar to old WuTang. give it a listen, I checked out "Sacrifice" very good, so if you do a search for it...type in JEDI MINDS and title "Sacrifice" good luck and good listening, but mostly, good lookin out. Peace

Basket case. | Monday, December 17, 2001 | 09:27 a.m. |
One day I was walking....and that was a great gift. This other time I was running, and that was a relief from the crutches I will never forget. One day I got back on the skateboard after a 2 year absence, and that was a beautiful moment. I landed a trick I visualized doing for that 2 year break and that was a sign....for those of us that severely injured ourselves doing something we love, and having it taken away....I feel your pain. And for those of us who were lucky enough to realize how the words "don't know what you got 'til its gone' means so much more, I salute your efforts of recovery. We should never take for granted anything we enjoy doing..because it can be taken away in a second. and don't put your eggs on one basket...spread out your passions, so that if what you love does get taken away from you...there are other options. a little advice from me to you.

Smokers Delight, and a movie | Monday, December 17, 2001 | 09:16 a.m. |
well, well well, here we go again. just wanna say hello to my ..peeps. ny homies, and my parole officer. SMOKERS DELIGHT (NIGHTMARES ON WAX)........:) if you can find this CD, you will be worshipped by 420 heads everywhere, A great album to listen to high. I'm very blunt about it because its the truth, I speak it. please do everything you can to get the bastard at Turtles Music to get off his lazy ass and order a few copies for your hometown record store, they will sell like hotcakes....mmmmmmm..hot cakes. also THE LIFE BEFORE THIS..............:) with all the new movies out with big budgets and crappy plots, there has been a small ripple in this months movie rentals by the above mentioned title. check this one out, about a heist going bad and a coffee shop becomes the shoot out location, a few people in the shop get hit by bullets flying everywhere... and then the movie turns to let you get to know 4 or 5 of the individuals..before they get to the coffee shop that day. an amazing story about everyday people and the choices they make through out their everyday lives, and the consequences involved. Give this film a chance and you will telling your ..Peeps and homies all about it!

LAMB | Wednesday, December 5, 2001 | 04:37 p.m. |
:) Do I have to describe them>? this group called LAMB? oh my the day I heard them (thanks Shawn) I flipped. I can't believe people made music like they did! I mix between Portishead and (the good) Massive Attack! Lou's (the songstress) vocals are very haunting. Take you to a place you can only find while on stimulants. She has a song called "Alien" which by itself can hypnotize you. But right now I've gotta give it up for the song " Bon Fire" please, if anyone still knows I'm alive, visit lamb at : http://www.cottonwool.com see for yourself. I hope I have opened your eyes as Lamb has opened my heart.

The day we met in the stairwell | Wednesday, December 5, 2001 | 04:35 p.m. |
I will never forget the stench in the air that day you bumped into me. We lived on different sides of the Apartment building, but on the same floor. I would see you stumble in ,fidgeting with your keys trying to get into your apartment as i walked by with my laundry basket. You always smelled like beer. that day we glanced into each others eyes, you looking me up and down and i...pretending not to choke on the horrible stench coming from your trash bag. you reached out for me....and touched me on my elbow ever so gently.... the scent of urine still in the air, I came closer to your ear lobe. and whispered.... "next time you decide to relieve yourself on this floor, I'm calling the Super." I never saw you again, but the smell was always there. Laura D.

sorry again and again | Wednesday, October 17, 2001 | 12:37 p.m. |

One more apology for all | Tuesday, August 14, 2001 | 09:49 a.m. |
okay okay I know I am slack, please stop sending me viruses. okay, well I have been overwhelmed with MP3's from Shawn lately and I like them, I have to say, UNKLE :) tight to DEF! nobody can touch it..LAMB :) I saw this video and freaked out! there will always be a place in my heart for BJORK so I will not even start a review on her..there is no way to give her less than a :). so anyways, a bunch of crap music is in heavy rotation on your raDio air waves, please log on and download some MP3's as soon as you can. Here is the technique I use to transfer MP3's to CD listening options for driving experiences(AIFF): download musicmatch basic MP3 player and then go to your favorite MP3 site..download a few songs, drag them into the musicmatch player window, go to file>convert....a window will pop up and give you the option of convert to MP3, or convert to AIFF, and a third I can't recall at the moment..you want to convert to AIFF...this will transform your song into a format that will allow you to use your CD burning software(ADAPTEC) to burn. cool stuff and it werks! now, I may be going a round-about way but it damn werks for me so piss off...I have a feeling my socks are getting restless. I'm outta here (insert NY accent here)

SOME MIZZO FO' SHIZZLE | Monday, July 16, 2001 | 10:35 a.m. |
WELL LETS SET THE RECORD STRAIGHT: I don't get paid for these reviews and I don't really give a damn if you take my advicce or not, But shit give me an A&R job at Sony and I won't steer you wrong. M.O.P./COLD AS ICE________:)_____DAMN, NOW THATS SOME HIP HOP FOR YA! I'LL TELL YOU THE TRUTH, I SLEPT ON M.O.P. WHEN THEY HIT THE SCENE AND I JUST RECENTLY SNAGGED A BURN OF SOME OF THEIR OLDER STUFF, THEN I LISTENED TO WARRIORS..AND YOU CAN TELL THE DIFFERENCE. A GOOD DIFFERENCE, AND I'M CONVINCED THAT THE NAME "BILLY DANCE" HAS GOT TO BE ONE OF THE COOLEST TAG NAMES I'VE HEARD IN A WHILE. AS FOR THE TRACKS, COLD AS ICE HAS THAT FEEL OF OLD WU-TANG PRODUCTION..I'M TALKING 36 CHAMBER MATERIAL. WHEN YOU CAN FLIP A SAMPLE FROM FOREIGNER YOU GOT YOURSELF SOME SKILLS. I'M STRAIGHT UP M.O.P. FO LIFE NOW..THANKS TO MY EYES OPENING UP TO SOME REAL TALENT AND MIC BLESSIN SKILLZ. TRUE THAT

I am SLACKER # 2 | Monday, July 16, 2001 | 10:24 a.m. |
just wanted to let everyone know that the temporary blindness has all but dissappeared! Oh the horror!, I should have learned how to read brail typewriters in highschool then I would have been able to type some stuff this past month! anyways I will make up for it today: I have been listening to an ASS of music but nothing worth reviewing except for maybe a select few. here's one for you: PETEY PABLO:NORTH CAROLINA////:) MAN I AM NOT THE BIGGEST FAN OF SOUTHERN RAP, I CAN TOLERATE IT AND IF I'M AT A CLUB I WILL JAM OUT TO SOME CASH MONEY EVERY NOW AND THEN.,.BUT STILL, PETEY PABLO IS COMIN OUT OF MY SECOND HOMETOWN OD NEW BERN NORTH CAROLINA!!! TIGHT STUFF FROM THIS CAT! ..."TAKE YOUR SHIRT OF WING IT IN THE AIR LIKE A HELICOPTOR!" YOU WOULDN'T BELIEVE THE PRODUCER IS NONE OTHER THAN TIMBALAND AND IT'S WORTH CHECKIN OUT ALL YOU HIP HOP HEADS IN YOUR ZONES, CHECK IT OUT FO YOU SIZZELVES. Next on the list: PRODIGY:HNIC /////:O DAMN MAN, I AM ONE OF THE BIGGEST MOBB FAN THERE IS SO I CAN'T EVEN CALL IT WHEN IT COMES TO WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO P. I MEAN I WAS EXPECTING SOME NEXT LEVEL SHIT FROM HIM AND THATS ONE REASON I MARINATED ON THIS ONE FOR SO LONG..BUT I WAS NOT IMPRESSED. HIS CREW BARS&HOOKS SPIT SOME TIGHT LYRICS BUT THE TITLE OF THEIR TRACK ON HNIC IS "WE'RE GOING DIAMOND" AND THIS CD HASN'T EVEN A CHANCE OF THAT. AND ITS TOO BAD, HAVOC IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE PRODUCERS OF ALL TIME AND THE RECIPE OF MOBB DEEP SHOULDN'T BE CHANGED..THATS LIKE NEW COKE AND COCOA COLA CLASSIC. YOU KNOW WHAT I'M SAYIN?

The streaming of Dunder | Wednesday, June 6, 2001 | 08:51 a.m. |
Yup 'm hooked, I like this internet radio..its good because the cussing is ignored. Right now I'm on some old 70's music trip! I love it, some good stuff I've heard but can't place the artist, some of the stations post the artist but not my favorites! I't a good feeling to be able to log on, and keep the music playing while i do my own work at the office! Yeah I realize this has been around for a while but believe it or not, I'm not the biggest internet surfer on the block, I got a few sites go to but thats it. well lets see, I listen to so much music that its hard to catagorize. so here's a review you may not expect: Faith Hill/you'll be here/SOUNDTRACKOF PEARLHARBOR/:)... Now get rid of the Pepsi commercials, the cell phone spots and her husband then you got yerself a damn great artist! this track remindss me of that love song from the movie TOPGUN, or that whitney Houston song from THEBODYGUARD. It's catchy yet still gives you little goosebumps, trust me i won't steer you wrong! A very nice chill out song that you wouldn't even catagorize as country. give it a listen for yourself. Everyone have a good frekin day! I'm out, about to switch channels! PEACE

Thank you | Wednesday, May 30, 2001 | 09:28 a.m. |
Whoa! didn't realize that Shawn came thru for me and updated my review buttons...thanks man! now i can type and not worry about making internet smiley faces and stuff, just refer to the top! good lookin out E_B_A

Brooklyn Anthem | Wednesday, May 30, 2001 | 09:16 a.m. |
well I took a trip to DC a few months ago and had a wonderful time, I listened to the radio and picked up on some new music and didn't realize it until now! apparently when songs make it on the radio down South...we are the last to hear it..the song passes thru Cali, onto NY then drops right here in our dirty toilet...sometimes you flush it so there is no hint of nasty auroma..sometimes it's okay to leave in there for a second , relax and flush later..then theres the songs that just won't flush all the way, the ones that take an extra few flushes to wash down..so is the case with Foxy browns latest single"Brooklyn Anthem" It's tight! and you gotta wiggle to get it out! Foxy was always on my list of wanna-be lil Kims, yeah there a list, and I named it lil Kim because she's the queen of that fashion flow. but I'm not a big fan (I'm a B.I.G. fan) but i can tolerate her and love to see a new video with her in it, same with Ms. Brown..this time around, she took off the sexy attire went back to plush jumpers and represented Brooklyn to the fullest! She's tight! she got herself a lil comeback track and it was well done, Lil Kim wannabe's like Queen Pen, trina(heheheh), Shawna, gangsta Boo, lil Kim....all yall acting like your shit don't stink.... move over ladies..theres some new shit floating your way. FOXY BROWN : .....:)

the weekend | Tuesday, May 29, 2001 | 04:04 p.m. |
I had a pretty long weekend like everyone else, decided to just chill out and listen to some music, I actually turned on the radio and listened to some stuff, I heard a lot of new songs but nothing too catchy, I did hear a track from some chick talking about falling in and out of love...whatever, but damn that entire track was BANGIN! I don't know the girls name if someone out ther knows, come thru and let me know : dunderwerks@yahoo.com anyways..... EVE "BLOW YOUR MIND" (feat,Gwen Stefani)//....:) yup, Gwen made it on my list of dunderwerks hotgirls in the industry...I'm not the biggest EVE fan in the world matter of fact i really can't stand her..last year every single she had or was on she rhymed the word "tight" with everything./.keep it Tight, right, might, sprite. whatever,, pet peeves coming up again, but this is her sophomore album, and i honestly have to say that the single is ..excuse the expression and my hypocracy TIGHT! she comes off nice and with gwen helping her out, it makes a fine track..now the rest of the album may still stay on the shelf. okay i may reviel my hotgirls of the industry list soon so stay tuned!

Yeah..it's over | Friday, May 25, 2001 | 11:31 a.m. |
Just wanted to take time out to apologize for not writing in this log as often as I should..see work had me going crazy for 2 weeks! ANYWAYS..I just want to let you all in on something..I know I've said it before but this is too good...
DELTRON3030... damn, you remember when Prince wrote that song 1999..back in like 1989? well when the year caught up with the song it was pretty interesting to listen to his freakness. I'm believing that aroung 3030..wherever humans will be, or whatever they will be, somebody/something will dig up this CD and use it as a book report...or a "Theory Discussion" of something to the fact of 21st century investigations put on by the council for the Conservation of Pre-Unification of Species..A.K.A. The CC of PUS. In turn some sub-student/pupil/learned entity will recieve an A+ or some other mark of excellence...this will be one of those albums that will be dissected and talked about for decades... but as the state of our present situation reviels: This album will be slept on... thrown in a closet or pawned/traded for a Project Pat CD.
please... someone start a time capsule and put this album in it..(along with a picture of Beyonce Knowles) and shoot it out towards Pluto...this way, by the time it makes one orbit...
someone, or something, will be able to appreciate it for what it's worth... HipHop Genius ahead of it's time.

| Wednesday, May 23, 2001 | 09:28 a.m. |
Well Shawn has informed me that he will be werking out a plan to have my rating scale on my opening paragraph at the top of this page soon... (Been there, done that- Shawn) I am holding him to that...oh and by the way..if anyone wants to know he has his very own Pita's page called..... uglyfatkid so just type that in and have look for yourself...his page will probably take you to his domain...
http://www.violentnation.com
anyways enough plugs..here goes...nothing: I mean something: SOULS OF MISCHIEF / '93 TIL INFINITY / :)....... I popped this bad bby in just because i needed something fresh..thats how bad it's getting out there.. I gotta take it back to '93 for some good hits. I remember skateboarding was the ONLY thing i ever wanted to do in life, I remember hearing "thats when you lost" In a Plan B video...I think thats about the time when i really started listening to lyrics and not just the beats, I swear they were so ahead of thier time that it's scary..If anyone out there has never heard this Album...please do yourself a favor and play 'catch up"at your nearest music store...no disappointment available.
now what single can i review?
MOULIN ROUGE (Pink,Kim,Christian,Mia) ;0...... Yup I'm a big Mia fan and she's on my top 10 list for the hottest females in the industry..in order to even qualify for this list..you gotta hve some talent..and yeah i may break out that list one day on this pitas page but i can't put them in order,,Ms.Knowles has always been in the #1 spot...
anyways...now the song is as catchy as the original, i think the entire video for this one was put together very nicely.
the ending is my favorite with Christina shakin her booooty like she dances at the Cheetah in ATL on weekends. anyways, the song will stick in your head like "livin la vida loca" did..you never wabted to be caught singing it..but somehow it slips out.but the main problem I have with this track is the back-up vocals by ms. Agulierra on lil Kim's part... she backs up ..."Playing these fellas out like Atari" With Christina screamin "like Atariiiii" now knowing damn well she has never actually seen on of these video game boxes...but she still screws the song up... there's no reason to back up that line. anyways it's a pet peeve.
don't spend your money on it...but Mia...her CD 'fear of flying"...now theres one I'd like to review.

| Monday, May 21, 2001 | 03:30 p.m. |
These won't be albums, these shall be singles...because I can only judge one song at a time according to some pissed off e-mails I got about ratings..whatever...I can dig it so I will conform.

....Jackin For Beats (Ice Cube)..... :)........ Yup, put this one on and I bet you rewind it about 2 more times that day! I can remember when this song came out, I had myself some blue Converse All Stars and chain wallet..I thought was pimpin, not to mention, that was about the time when N.W.A. verses Amerikkka's Most Wanted were battlin on wax...the good ol days...so please feel free to cop this EP
and think back to the days of Jerri curl and Oakland ball caps...next thing you know you'll be breaking out some old Public Enemy.

................ Get Your Freak On (Missy Elliot).....'0..And a half... I was feeling SupaDupaFly...but um...now i just get nautious.
The remix with Nelly Furtado is pretty cool, as long as a video doesn't follow... I think the video for this single is what got me disgusted...How many times can Missy look away from the camera, first left..then smile look right...smile...pan to some water and back to her in plastic...
it's played out..but maybe it's just me. She's got loot...and i guess she's ghost written an ass of songs...but please...calm the hell down...the power mover by using lil Nelly Furtado to get a wider audience was a good idea...it's sort of like when that reporter asked Ricky martin if he was gay..he simple replied (insert screwed up spanish/american accent here) "That's my business..."
see, he can't say he's not gay...he'd loose his homosexual fanbase..he can't say he IS for obvious reasons, so he makes everyone happy...and record sales remain calm. go for it Missy...I mean look at Whyclef...he's carrying that guitar to disassociate himself with hip hop but he'll say the word Fuggee or refugee at least 3 times in a song..poor guy
he's lost too.

TOOL | Wednesday, May 16, 2001 | 04:44 p.m. |
I can't even write any reviews today..all i have in my head is TOOL.
Soon the headache will set it and i will have to take asprin.
go...get..the..TOOL CD..Please...I beg you.

TOOL | Tuesday, May 15, 2001 | 02:21 p.m. |
On a side note...Monday night I had the opportunity to go to a CD release party for TOOL's new album. The people throwing it will remain nameless because they were idiots but it is also on who you know and therefore it payed off in the end. The deal was that it was trivia night and questions were being thrown around like it was held at hooters and someone forgot to tie back thier shirt. people were drunk and even the announcers were slurring their speech. in between making fun of them I watched as the guy I rode with worked his magic..needless to say he was the first on the block to cop this CD...while everyone else was inside trying to figure out the answer to what color was Mollyringwald's sundress in pretty In pink.

All In All we grabbed the CD and blasted it thru the downtown area!...A couple of bums started raising the roof! Thats how good the CD is.
So maybe today when you leave work you can go to Bestbuy and get you one of these babies!
worth it, and well worth the 5 years it took to come out. Oh by the way...The answer to who shot JR was ...Priscilla Presley.?

| Tuesday, May 15, 2001 | 01:47 p.m. |
Rage against the machine:Renegades..... :O......Yup thats the shiznit! I have been one of rage's biggest fans, Zac DelRocha is the man...And as far as this album is concerned..I am utterly pleased! The tracks will make you wanna smash things.. his rendition of some hiphop classics has given a new hope to a burnt out radio influenced culture.
you can grab this Cd and be thankful that the merger of rock and hiphop has been justified! back in the day with RUN DMC you had the ultimate rock/rap collabo...The king of Rock!
sure the aerosmith track is supposed to be a classic, i was never a big fan of that...but as far as king of Rock...you can't touch that!
and it goes to show that it has been done way before limpbizcuit or whatever else is in that genre. don't get me wrong, i'm cool with Fred, he reminds me of my own shit sometimes...but not on an influenced vibe.
Speaking of being under the influence...Check out the CD I haven't steered you wrong yet have I?

MING+FS...... ;{)........
The fusion of drum&bass is upon us folks and anyone that hasn't listened to it yet has been in a coma...time to wake up! i heard it was comming and i was told of its existance.. personally i'm actually feelin it...fast beats combined with intelligent lyrics...far away from the cry of booty meets ignorance. this style is catching on in Europe and has probably branched off to all sorts of roots:gruge drum&bass. trance drum&bass..anyways, this fusion has opened my eye to more possibilities. If you can cop a burn of this CD..do so, get in the know and stop hating.

L BURNA ...... :( Okay I might be a little ahead of myself here since i only heard 2 songs and that was on soultrain this past Sunday..but what i heard was another feeble attempt at a solo venture using Bonethugsharmony as a crutch. this fool is stupid. L-Burna? he has the exact track like all the bonerBoys..that crossroads track..that i miss my dead homies track....let it rest man...
i was about to give them another chance but it's so predictable now that it hurts my feelings. but hey..he's livin large! yay!

| Monday, May 14, 2001 | 01:07 p.m. |
Today we will be reviewing some good stuff!

DELTRON 3030 :)...hot damn this is what i wish hiroglyphics
would sound like! I miss them fools. but this one has del tha funkyhomosapien all over it, and dan the Automator on production..Del is on that Kool Kieth space age lingo..minus the Kool Kieth! I'm not trying to diss KoolKieth..by no means, I just never really liked his style, but now throw some Del in there and i can totally enjoy it!
Please oh please check out this CD.
Also, if anyone has heard the Gorillas album featuring Del let me know! dunderwerks@yahoo.com, I am predicting Del to be throwing plenty of rhymes this way this year, he's that 2pac lyricist minus the thuglife! The tracks on deltron 3030 will freak you the hell out! Samples are gritty the way hiphop is supposed to be! definately a 10 on my rating scale at the house.

NEXT up:
...3 DOORS DOWN ;0....I've been listening to 3 Doors down since the first single "Kryptonite"..These dudes are tight..nothing short of spectacular..they have the elements of a great rock-n-roll band, I snagged a burn of this CD and was very surprised! They stay on point with each track, consisting of thought provoking lyrics combined with a change in tempo/beats on almost every song, the breakdowns hit...and I'm not talking about that Blink182,BB Mack,Eve6,Oasis,Train,Fuel,filter bullshit boy rockpop shit. these guys should'nt be in that catagory and i smack anyone who thinks it to be so.
Give them a try and I promise you, you won't be too dissapointed.
and finally...
well actually nothing really bad to say today..I'm saving it for humpday Wednesday.

| Thursday, May 10, 2001 | 05:28 p.m. |
Well I've been a slacker...yeah it's true, but i'm so busy now-a-days, my pitas site has taken off, and i have been flooded with hate mail because of my views about Project Pat.
well i can't apologize...but i do feel sorry for people who actually call that crap music. anyways...
DROPSQUAD ;^0.....
These guys are as hardcore as the first pantera Album..I knew that one day they would be rubbing elbows with the big boys, now they are hand in hand at the same spots for Tool and Perfect Circle..
They got the inside scoop..and they can play 3 to 4 instraments a piece...
unfortunately,,,they don't have a CD out yet so You can't burn a copy..but soon, maybe they will get off the supersat kick and begin to write more songs! I hear ya Mr. Tyre.

SNOOP DOGG, MASTERP & NATE DOGG Lay Low ;0
.....well damn, the S-N-double O-P-DEE-O-Double-GZEEE got himself into some mess huh?
C'mon Snoop you were on a roll, now it's just ridiculous. I wish this fool would get back to the Converse and the khakis and get away from the bling and the ignorant. well, nice track but i can't take it anymore... maybe him and ICE-T should start a rock rap collabo... that would turn heads!
anyone got any ideas on what to call the rockrap group e-mail me at
dunderwerks@yahoo.com
I think it would be great....and i ran out of words, but thanks for reading my crap anyways...Project Pat....C'mon man
"thats just da meter's broke..you don't know what cha talkin' bout"
Plus dem new jordans finna come out."

| Tuesday, May 8, 2001 | 10:32 a.m. |
The Pharcyde Plain Rap :)......
Now look, say what you want about the Pharcyde but they will always be my favorite! I do miss Fatlip..So please come back!!!
check this cd out and even though it's a lot more mellow than the previous ones..it's good driving music.

| Wednesday, May 2, 2001 | 08:52 a.m. |
Well, I have been slack, but i do listen to music everyday so lets just review something I had playing in my vehicle... DeLa Soul Art Official Intelligence :)
Tight production and makes me feel like there is hope for the game of hipHop.. all tracks merge wonderfully and sound very "intelligent.

TASH Ricoche... :)
Tight to DEF...well I know of one particular track that makes me hit repeat..the track with B-Real, and Outkast..the smokey smoke fest song, good stuff. I'm wondering why this album hasn't taken off the way it should have. Damn good production.

....I really have nothing bad to say about anything today..sorry folks.
but damn if you get a chance to check out A Perfect Circle..do it..that shit is bangin' and it makes the hair on my neck stand up... good stuff today!
AOL sucks...AOL keyword:SUCKS

| Monday, April 30, 2001 | 11:56 a.m. |
okay man, I'm loving this music review stuff!
OUTKAST Stankonia :).....I'm really loving this CD right now! If you are studying Chaos theory right now...open your books to the middle and look at all the pretty pictures of shapes and explosions..in there you wil find the alternate cover art...for Outkast's CD...yeah I read into stuff alot(no pun intended)
but the album is wonderful, the only drawback is gangsta Boos verse...on I'll call before i cum..get her out of there!
i would have even settled for Trina's stupid ass!

Sade Lover's Rock :).......
sweet Sade..anyone who knows me should be aware of the crush i have for Sade...I've fallen head over heels for her but she doesn't know it...The Album is tight! check out "Somebody already broke my heart"
the entire track will blow your mind..there is a riff in it that will burn a whole in your soul...it's sharp and only lasts about 1.5 bars...
but never the less..very soothing CD...if you burn...(the other burn)..pop this baby in...trust me on this!?

ANYTHING from Project Pat ;(
I just can't stand it...and it makes me sad.

| Friday, April 27, 2001 | 10:53 a.m. |
:) = Go get that sumbitch/ :0 = Get a burn first/ ;( = If you happen to be in an airplane..ask the pilot to throw this Cd Out.

LudaCris = :0 /
Now I'm not a big fan of Southern rap...But I am in the South and I listen to everything...I do believe there is a difference between Southern rap and ATLANTA hip-hop. Ludacris walks a thin line between these two catagories, I was fortunate enough to snag a burn and if you got any kind of system in your vehicle with bass...this CD is worth a listen. All the radio tracks are still tight as HELL.. and even though the song "Whats your fantasy?"
has that chick Shawna in it that looks EXACTLY like Wanda from "In Living Color" back in the day, I can still bump it and not feel emarrassed.
But the track that gets me hyped the most is "Stick 'em Up" nuff said...so even though it's got that Southern Slang It's got some ATL potential, after listening to this CD (from a performers point of view) you can honestly get the feeling of what it's like at one of Ludacris's shows.
But I would have to score a free ticket before that happens.

Smut Peddlers= :0
The main reason I bought this CD was for Mr. Eon...and believe me, that was worth the $14.99...I guess.
cage is tight too..Shawn informed me that Cage was a friend of ol' Eminem...I can see that now...I do believe they could have left the midget out of the mix...BeetleJuice? c'mon man...he used his appearance on Howard Stern to his advantage..doesn't he know Howard was making him look like an idiot? He's wierd looking as it is, what kind of attempt is it to make him talk like a pimp on this CD?
Anyways, whatever man...But the tracks are tight..verymuch so...and the artwork is wonderful.
The main track that sticks out right now is "That's Smut" If it ever makes the radio..which I doubt.
Go get it but skip the midgets intro.

ladies and gentleman, my next couple of reviews...
At the Drive-In { :) }
very nice...the opening track get's the blood running like what it feels like to do 3 shots od JagerMeister back to back! Of course you have your MTV track "One Armed Scissor" which still rocks! and even on the more melodic tunes, you can see the versitility of this group shine like an old 79 VW Beetle with a fresh coat of Armorall on the dash.
Give it a chance..buy the sucker...Grand Royal must have werked out a deal with a distributor because the CD only costs $9.99!

Silkk tha Shocker feat.Trina { :( }
Damn...what happened to the rap game?
Silkk might be okay (stressing "Might") if he left NoLOmit and went to...BIV-10...Mike Bivins label.
and If I hear NoLimit say "Whodie" one more time..I swear I'm telling the cash money crew to kick his ass.
Trina..."thats cool....Thats cool..."
She might look hot but damn...I saw her on BET thaBasement once around election day Big Tigger asked her If she was gonna vote and for who...She stupidly replied :
"Who ever wins is who I vote for." and:
"I vote every year"
Silly girl...Elections are held every 4 years.
but..."That's cool..." I guess.
Hi Shawn.
(Hi Dave!- Shawn)

Holy crap! | Monday, April 23, 2001 | 09:11 a.m. |
man I wish things were running a little smoother over here!...My good friend Shawn has been buggin me to write in my Pitas log...(log..thats funny because of the Exlax i had to take earlier)
but i will now devote this weblog to music reviews...Be cause I am a music lover...a big one.
First of all let me start by saying that this review should not be taken out of context and if i rate an album and say its dog crap..so be it.
If you dissagree..come over to my yahoo address and chew me out: dunderwerks@yahoo.com.
I will give ratins as follows:
:) = This Rocks! Good As Hell
:0 = You should listen to it, but get a burned copy.
.) = I think its cute and a good try.
:( = Throw this into the savannah river today.
the BLOW soundtrack :)
holy crap all those times I cried for my dad to turn that shit off! now i can't get enough of it. I am not a big "Stones" fan..but the opening track has gotten me hooked.
Black Betty has been an inspiration for me since we used it in a home video back in '94.
Go check this soundtrack out...it spins with delight!

Project Pat "CHICKEN HEADS" :(
what a disgrace to the rap game.
The track would have sounded better if they used Boy George on it instead. At least then you would have some better lyrics. The Savannah will love this cd! it's crap.

It's been a second since i wrote..damn.
DC was cool, went to a thing called a "barcrawl"
you pay $10 get a wristband and a small cup to walk around the downtown area, looking for 5 particular bars where you could drink for $2.00...only problems?
small cup, watered down Budweiser, a long line to get in the bar and another line for the $2.00 drinks.
By the time you get to the bar, get in, and get that drink..you're just all around pissed off. None-the-less, had a wonderful time away from my city. It's MASTERS WEEK and the town is full of rich golf spectators. I'm in for a long drive home.

Just chillin up in DC about to go out on the town, with a fish-eye lense and a battery re-charger, lets get back to Pitas tonight with a preview..

my job has me closed in like a blockade/ not too sure between the difference of this or the stockade/ the object, is to block the subject/ stop the uplift/ bomb the target/ my incentive/ that goes with out saying/ no time to give in/ and no time for just playing/ one more rhyme with no delaying/ these thoughts that keep spraying/ marking my territory like time clocks that i'm displaying. amen.

Finally, my 29th settles in.
One thing Ive learned..patience and understanding.
But have you ever considered the loss of your livelyhood? Sort of the feeling that comes AFTER a terrible loss? Like waking up of unfamiliar senses and smells.
or a sense of smell ( depending how you feel on the issue) To put yourself in someone elses ShOES...I can't say i've grown up a bit more this year...but that depends on the situation, It's all in the air now.

I couldnt believe the things I saw...On television tonight..I saw Europe in a different light, although I haven't been there in 3 years, I can see these hills, and these small towns..with cobblstone roads.
I can truly smell the hay, the grass and all the other scents It has to offer.
Although now, television takes it away.
Information super highways...
and how quickly we adapted....is also in the air tonight. I hear Ted Koppel answering his own pre-written questions, following the teleprompter trying not to move his head up with the words..So Go On Ted, UP WITH THOSE WORDS!
The thought of movie buffs trying to figure out the next best thing..the autobiography of what lucky fellow? The demise of all social issues replaced by "Social Studies"?
The birth of revelations?
I don't have all the answers and I can't put my finger on it but....Theres something in the air tonight.Thats for sure.
Well as with all things in life..so goes it in the circle. people get greedy...Companys merge. You spend more time paying for things you can't afford (instead of paying attention) and eating where you should have fasted. You spend more time at the drive thru then the time it takes for you to actually chew and swallow a dinner. and in turn get greedy as the company merges again and as the rest of the world looks on..and laughs at you behind your back..thinking about how lucky they are to NOT be you.
And when you wake up physically, you will begin to have this patience and understanding I spoke of...
Because somewhere in my past I heard someone say: The older you get, the wiser you get

Unfortunately, it is no longer the case.
We as people have seemed to get Dumber stupider, not because of spell check or grammar errors, but because the knowledge you were supposed to have retained after high school, has actually "left the building" Somebody open the gym doors, I can hardly stand the smell! but this all comes together in quite the finest of packaging...
Revelations will lead to revolution in some form or another...
but this will be the year of pestilence...
and possibly interpreted wrong, for others to (mis)judge. but i have developed patience...and understanding..that Ted has told me, Ted has warned me and I know it would be virtually impossible to reach us..."we're just glad it was them..instead of US" And suddenly, that smell comes back to you as nostalgia, You know this smell very well....
It is the smell...Of your loss....of your, livelyhood.
